    WHEN YOU BELIEVE AND PRAY

1 Peter 3:10-12  One of our understandings is we have the guarantee there is “Someone” who listens and answers our prayers. We believe Yahweh Almighty is our Heavenly Father and He knows all our needs. He might not answer our prayers just the way we want, because He knows what is best for us, but we do expect Him to answer. Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” We may be disappointed if His answer is not…

HELP IN THE TIME OF TROUBLE/FAMINE

From believers to non-believers, all will agree that we are living in perilous times coupled with great economic uncertainty. How can one survive this global famine and the spiritual famine for Yah’s true word? Psalms 37:18-25 – Yahweh knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. But the wicked shall perish and the enemies of Yahweh shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. The wicked borroweth and payeth not again: but the righteous showeth mercy, and giveth. For…

    FORGIVENESS

Forgive or Forget It!  There I was seated in row 17, flying from Miami to Oklahoma. I began to daydream, thinking about a friend of mine who had once treated me (what I thought was) unfairly in a financial dealing we had had. As I turned the whole incident over in my mind, I remembered how I had originally consoled my bruised feelings by thinking to myself, “Well, that’s okay, it’s Yahweh’s money anyway – Yahweh will deal with him.” However, flying on that jet through the night, I started to get an uneasy feeling inside, almost like vengeance. All of a sudden, it was not enough to put the…

WHAT THINK YE OF THE MESSIAH?

(A Discussion of the Virgin Birth of Our Saviour)By A. B. Traina  “What think ye of the Messiah, Whose son is He?” (Matt. 22:42) My unqualified answer is this: He is the true Son of the Most High El. He is the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. The foundation for this affirmation is found in the record of His birth, as recorded by Matthew: “Now the nativity of the Messiah Yahshua was thus: Miriam His mother had been pledged to Joseph; before they were united, she was discovered to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph, her affianced husband, being a just man, and…

    WATER BAPTISM

By C. O. Dodd  Many beliefs are prevalent concerning Christian baptism among the Roman Catholics and Protestant sects and orders. Some sprinkle a little water upon the head of the candidate, and call that baptism. Some immerse the person in water, some once, and some thrice. Some claim water baptism is not essential. These various teachings cause confusion, but this may be dispelled when the word of Yahweh is taken as authority. Paul says, in Eph. 4:5, regarding the faith, that like as there is but one Yahweh, (or one Master) so there is but one baptism — “One Yahweh, one faith, one baptism,” and not many. Baptism is very…

    REPENT OR PERISH

By Elder George Kinney  Some children grow up in a home where it is taught that they should be living in obedience to the Almighty One, keeping His commandments. We read, “… if you will enter into life, keep the commandments” (Matthew 19:17); “Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of Yahweh, and the faith of Yahshua” (Revelation 14:12); and, “Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city” (Revelation 22:14). Yes, these children are taught these things as they grow up – attending meetings…

PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOR OF YAHWEH

HOW TO FIGHT THE BATTLE EACH DAY  Say: I am strong in Yahweh, and in the power of His might. I put on the whole armor of Elohim, in the name of Yahshua, that I may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Because I am wearing it, I am able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (the judgment). I come against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world and against spiritual wickedness in high places, in the name of Yahshua the Messiah. Ephesians 6:10-18. I gird my loins with (put on) the belt of truth.…

    HOPE OF RESURRECTION

The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. (Proverb 10:28). Blessed is the man that trusteth in Yahweh, and whose hope Yahweh is. (Jeremiah 17:7). It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Yahweh. (Lamentations 3:26). For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. (Galatians 5:5). According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also the Messiah shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. (Philippians 1:20).…

    HALLELUYAH

By: N. Nichols HALLELUYAH occurs in Psalm 135. In fact, this Psalm both begins and ends with HALLELUYAH. The whole Psalm will not be quoted, but it would be well if you took time to read the whole thing, for it is a most precious Psalm. You will find that it is a contrast between YAH and His chosen people as opposed to idols. To clarify what IDOLS means is a necessity. Idols not only refer to carved and molten images, but the root meaning is far deeper. And, in conjunction with this is the use of HALLELUYAH which gives the victory over the IDOLS. Never belittle the power of…

WITH WHAT BODY ARE THE DEAD RAISED?

By Voy WilksReprinted from The Faith, 10-12, 2001 Did Yahshua ascend to the Father in his physical body? When we review the several Scriptures dealing with this topic of study, we will see that the Messiah did, indeed, ascend to the Father in the same body which was buried, although it had been changed from a mortal body (one subject to death), to an immortal body (one unable to die), but it was the same body. The scars in his hands, feet, and side were the very reason, it seems, that Thomas was convinced Yahshua had indeed risen from the dead. The Apostle Paul further explains this: “Lo! I tell…
